I worked from 1998 to 2007 at the University of Udine for the survey of the new Italian Geological Map Project in Friuli Region Venezia Giulia. Postdoctoral Position at the University of Padova from 2008 to 2010, Contract Professor at University Ca\u2019 Foscari of Venice in 2011. In 2011 I got the position of Researcher at the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources of the National Research Council. My fields of interest are the sedimentary geology of continental successions, the regional geology and the Quaternary geology, encompassing sedimentology-stratigraphy, palaeoenvironmental, palaeodrainage reconstruction and neotectonics topics. I have worked mainly on the Quaternary successions of the Southern side of the Alps. Within the field of sedimentary geology I worked on facies analysis, provenance analysis and stratigraphy of Tortonian-Quaternary successions of the Venetian-Friulian Basin and in the Piedmont Basin. I also worked, as visiting scholarship (University of Toronto) on the Navajo Sandstones of the Colorado Plateau (Southwest of the USA), and in the Transcaucasian Basin in Georgia. My scientific work is documented in more than 50 publications in international journals, 35 popular scientific contributions and book chapters and 15 geological maps. I am President of AIQUA (Italian association for Quaternary Study) since June 2018."}
