Master degree in Geology (1987) at University of Bologna and PhD in Earth Sciences (1993) at University of Parma. CNR fellowship at Institute of Marine Geology CNR Bologna (1995-1996), CNR and CNR-NATO advanced fellowships at Centre for Marine Geology, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada (1994, 1997-1998), tenure track position at Istituto di Geologia, Paleontologia, e Geofisica Universit\u00e0 di Padova (1999-2001) and researcher at CNR-IGG Padova (2001-2007). She worked within international (EU-PALICLAS, EU-EUROSTRATAFORM, CA-EURODELTA, EC-PROMESS 1), national projects (PRIN, Geological Maps of Italian Seas, RITMARE) and within research contracts with oil companies (CNR-SHELL, CNR-EXXON MOBIL, CNR-ENI). She has been PI of two PNRA projects. Editorial Member of the journal Marine Geology.<\/p><p>She studies micropaleontology of planktic and benthic foraminifera in Quaternary sedimentary sequences, biostratigraphy\/event stratigraphy and paleoceanography, mainly in the Mediterranean basin. Integrated chronology of marine sequences. Integration of micropaleontological results with sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, tephrochronology, geochemistry. Expertise also in lacustrine protozoans (testate amoebae) for paleoenvironmental reconstructions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
