He is Associated Editor of the magazine &#8220;Journal of Paleolimnology&#8221; and of the magazine &#8220;Journal of Limnology&#8221;.\r\n<br><br>The research activity is focused on the assessment of the impacts of global changes on aquatic ecosystems through the study of algal biomarkers, with particular attention to changes on a secular and millennial scale. He was involved in measurements of both chemical (carbon, nitrogen, and sulphur &#8211; measured with the elemental analyser &#8211; CNS -, organic substance, carbonates, and phosphorus) and biological parameters (measurement of algal pigments with chromatographic techniques on both thin layer &#8211; TLC- and high pressure &#8211; HPLC) in sediment cores taken both in Italian and foreign lakes.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-245c08a elementor-widget elementor-widget-template\" data-id=\"245c08a\"
