Since 2009, I am researcher at CNR-IGAG. My long-term research interests focus on developing, improving and applying the Quaternary tephrostratigraphy and tephrochronology in Mediterranean area by means of detailed geochemical and isotopic characterizations of tephra layers. I applied this chronological-synchronizing tool to a wide spectrum of the Quaternary sciences and vulcanology (e.g., Quaternary stratigraphy and tectonic, paleoseismology, paleontology, Earth paleomagnetism, archaeology, explosive volcanism history) and especially to the paleoclimatology with aim of getting radioisotopic, independent chronology for the proxy series and more generally for consolidating the Quaternary time-scale. In this framework, I contributed, as leading or partner investigator, to the development of several scientific projects carried out in Mediterranean and Eastern Europe areas. I have authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed papers indexed in Scopus and ca. 200 documents in Google Scholar.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
