Master degree in Geology (1999) and PhD in Marine Science and Engineering (2004) at the University of Naples \u201cFederico II\u201d; visiting scientist at USGS, Menlo Park, California (2001\/2003\/2013). Planning and participation to oceanographic cruises on board of CNR research vessels since 1997.\r\n

Since the PhD training, the research interest has been addressed on tephra deposits as a tool to date marine sequences of the central Mediterranean with a particular focus on eruptive products from active centers of southern Italy. Tephrochronological analysis has been applied in the framework of national and international projects dedicated to the geological mapping of both marine and terrestrial areas, geo-marine hazard and paleoclimate reconstructions. Research fields include: event stratigraphy, high- and ultrahigh-resolution (at centennial scale) integrated studies to synchronize successions among depositional basins and between marine and continental areas, volcanoclastic sedimentation, 40Ar\/39Ar geochronology and ash dispersal hazard. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
