Since 2005, he is Secretary of Regional Committee on Mediterranean Neogene Stratigraphy (RCMNS), since 2013 he is Voting member of the Subcommission on Quaternary Stratigraphy (SQS) and since 2020 he is Voting member of the Subcommission on Neogene Stratigraphy (SNS).\r\n

The research activity is focused on the study of planktonic foraminifera in Biostratigraphy and Paleoclimatology, and He is mainly involved to study the past climate changes from Ma to millennial scale, recorded in the marine fossil archives of the Mediterranean.
