The research activity focuses on biostratigraphy, paleoceanography and paleoclimatology using foraminifera (quantitative study and geochemical analysis). Recently, she is involved in: a) late Quaternary high frequency climatic cycles; b) paleo-ecology of marine ecosystems: natural trends and anthropogenic impact; c) foraminiferal distribution in the polar regions. She is in the Editorial Board of the Nature Conservation Journal and associate editor of the Alpine and Mediterranean Quaternary (AMQ) Journal. She is member of the President advisory board AIQUA (Italian association of the Quaternary researchers) and member of the Italian Long Term Ecological Research Network (LTER) Coordination Committee. Author and co-author on over 196 publications including book, chapter, conference paper and technical reports and reviewer for international journal and research project (France, Switzerland, Germany Recently, she is involved in: a) late Quaternary high frequency climatic cycles; b) paleo-ecology of marine ecosystems: natural trends and anthropogenic impact; c) foraminiferal distribution in the polar regions. She is in the Editorial Board of the Nature Conservation Journal and associate editor of the Alpine and Mediterranean Quaternary (AMQ) Journal. She is member of the President advisory board AIQUA (Italian association of the Quaternary researchers) and member of the Italian Long Term Ecological Research Network (LTER) Coordination Committee.
